It seems like I am always in the mood for pasta. Well this sauce really does not help my cravings!!! It’s just so wonderful!! Rosee sauce is the perfect sauce since you get a bit of the white and the red sauce. If you don’t like sausages, you can always add some chicken instead :). I made this sauce with fresh pasta! Course: Dinner    Yield: 4 servings    Prep Time: 5 mins    Cook Time: 15 mins  


Ingredients

  • 3 Tablespoon of butter
  • 2 Tablespoon of fresh thyme
  • 2 Tablespoon of fresh basil
  • 2 Tablespoon of fresh oregano
  • 1/4 Teaspoon of dried red pepper flakes
  • half of a spanish onion, sliced in 1/8 thick slices
  • half of a green or red pepper, cut in small cubes
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 Cup of tomato sauce
  • 1 bag of fettuccine, cooked al dente
  • 3/4 Cup of heavy cream
  • 1/2 Cup of white wine
  • 1 Cup of freshly grated parmesan
  • 4 chorizo sausage, cooked on the grill

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat butter over medium heat until melted and hot.
  2. Add dried red pepper flakes, the sliced onions, garlic and the chopped green or red peppers and stir together. Let it cook for 4 minutes or until the onions are transparent.
  3. Add tomato sauce and wine and bring to a boil. Add fresh herbs, the chorizo pieces and parmesan. Reduce heat, and let simmer for 4 minutes.
  4. Add cream, bring close to a boil, stirring constantly. Add pasta and serve.
