I come from a french family so the whole thanksgiving celebration was not something we would do as a tradition. Growing up, I would go over to some of my friend’s house and have pumpkin pie as part of their thanksgiving feast. Even though my mom never made this kind of pie ( and god knows she made a lot of pies for us), I now love pumpkin pie and I make it every time fall comes around!

pumpkin pieI have tried many pumpkin pie recipes and this is my favourite so far!

Good recipe. I doubled it to make 2 pies and added 1/4 tsp ground cloves (1/8 tsp per pie). Delicious. Oh, I also used fresh pumpkin instead of the canned stuff. A 15 oz can = 1 3/4 cup. If you have batter left over after filling your crust, you can grease a casserole dish and pour it in. Just bake it alongside your pie and it should be done about the same time. My kids love it that way, since they don’t really care for pie crust.
