Barcelona!

You remember that my sister was gone to Europe since December 2011 right?

Well she went through some hard times while she was down there and that is why my mother, my brother and I decided to go see her!

I always say that everything happens for a reason ( I really just say that so I don’t get mad at the situation) but this time, it was really true!

Elyssa (my sister) got some really bad news back in May, while she was in Italy. On the exact same day, my mother received a “one day deal” for a round trip flight from our city to Barcelona and back. The tickets were 500$, a CRAZY good deal! What’s even crazier is that my sister was going to be in Spain during that week! My mom called me, all excited, saying that we should just buy the tickets and go!

And as crazy as we are, we did buy the tickets! The last 3 tickets!!! (Karl had to work)

How crazy is that!?

So off to Barcelona we went to see my baby sister (I missed her so much!)

When we got to the Barcelona Airport, Ely was waiting for us at the door!

I ran and jumped on her, crying like a baby! (yes, I am very emotional) lol

Needless to say, we had a wonderful trip!

Here are a few pictures I took! Barcelona is truly a beautiful city!

Life is good!!!

When you go to Barcelona, you have to eat Tapas and Paella! I will be making some soon so you can have a taste of Spain at home!

    i was in barcelona last summer and your photos are so reminiscent of my time there. i still feel those wicker (or whatever they are) chairs with the silver legs under me – thank god for breakfast wine! haha. or cafe con leche!! OH! And the humidity and the smell of city and brick and sun and sea! sad and a little jealous right now – lucky!

    ps. did you get to check out Cinc Sentits or any of the restaurants in the neighborhood of Gracia??? they were incredible! 

    • I know!!! Barcelona is so Awesome!! It’s was my second time there and I discovered a whole bunch of other areas this time! I didn’t get to try any restaurants in that area, we have an apartment in La Barceloneta and I cooked almost every night but Karl and I are going back in the fall and I will make sure to check them out!!! Thanks Kristy!!! 🙂
