When you think of a Ballerina, you think of a thin, elegant person with a tutu and ballet slippers. This is what I tried to reproduce with this cake design.
The ballerina’s mother wanted a classic, elegant cake that would represent her daughter. Since turning Sixteen is a big thing, her parents threw a big birthday party and invited 35 people. To be safe, I made a cake for 45 people. The botton cake, a 12 inch cake, is a chocolate cake with chocolate icing and the top one, a 9 inch cake, is a dulce de leche cake.
I love classic cakes!!! Plus, when I was a kid, I really wanted to be a ballerina, so it was only normal for me to be super excited to make this cake! Mikayla’s mom was as thrilled as I was so it made me even more eager to take on the challenge!
